Location: Glacier National Park, Montana
Distance from Denver: 938 miles (~15 hours) ♡
Hike: ~2.5 miles ♡ ♡ ♡
Difficulty: Easy ♡ ♡ ♡
Parking Situation: Side of road - we took the shuttle here ♡
Parking Fee: N/A, but there is an entrance fee to the park
Probably two of my most favorite hikes in the park, St. Mary's Falls and Virginia Falls are accessible on the same ~2.5mi there and back trail.
We took the shuttle here because we couldn't find parking at the trailhead. We were told the shuttle runs every 30min, so time well or you're left standing in the sun!
Once you are at St. Mary's, take the extra time to hike further to Virginia Falls. It is the tall waterfall you see from the road and there is a secluded cove you can sit in to dip your feet into the water. It's a lot quieter at Virginia Falls since people stop at St. Mary's so we enjoyed having a few moments to ourselves.
