We love sunny weekends to take advantage of the sweetest dates! Picnics & cheese boards are among my favorites, and its easy enough to combine the two so why not?! Cheese boards have always been hard for me to put together. How do you know which cheese goes with what cracker? Over the years, we've found a formula to make cheese boards that works for us:
two to three cheeses (at least one soft/spreadable and one harder cheese) + nuts or fruit + toast or crackers+ a pickle or jam
This particular day, we toasted up some French bread, paired it with the Tapas Cheese Sampler we found at Trader Joe's, some candied pecans, and the best (and easiest) caramelized onion jam that I made.
We live by this cute little park so we packed up our bag, grabbed a blanket, and enjoyed a few hours lazing in the park. My mom lent me her jean jacket since it was still a little chill out, and I paired it with a chevron dress that has been sitting in my closet :) I adore the pattern (it helps make me look taller!!) and I think the jean jacket adds both texture and functionality to an otherwise simple look.
