You know those places that you drive by a million times but never stop at? This is one of them. We were down in the Lone Tree area nearly everyday in the last year, yet it never once occurred to us to check out Bluffs Regional Park. It's tucked away in a quaint little neighborhood deep in, what is today, the heart of suburbia. But you guys - it is probably one of the best kept secrets in town!
As we wound up this trail after work, it took us no less than 10 feet to realize that this was once a vast area populated by animals. Deer roamed at every turn (PSST: there were posted warnings about rattlesnakes in the area...EEK! ) & quite honestly, it felt a million miles away from the houses that were, in reality, right there. Yes we could see them around us especially as dusk settled in and the lights started shimmering...but honestly it made for such a magical evening! This is hands down one of our favorite spots to watch the sunset in town ♡
