A pleasant way to start the morning, John's Lake trail was what we chose to hike after entering the park. We were the first on the trailhead and didn't see a single living creature, human or otherwise.
We didn't walk the entire loop, rather we did the half mile to the lake which is, decidedly, rather unremarkable (or as Brandon noted, "John got shafted"). But if you like forests and lily pads, this short jaunt is for you.
Share with us if you've taken the entire loop and what you thought of it!
