This is hands down one of our favorite spots to watch the sunset! After a ~disappointing~ run up to St. Mary's Glacier, we decided to take a quick stop at Lookout Mountain to watch the sunset. I'm so glad we did! It was slightly crowded (for those who know us, you know that means anything more than 5 other people)...but there's plenty of room if you make your way down the path and onto the rocks to sit.
There is something magical about watching the city of Golden light up for the evening as the dusk settles in - to be high above away from the mundane everyday. We will definitely make the drive more often here.
