Super short. Super rocky. Super overrated.
We enjoyed being in the mountains as well as how close (relatively speaking) the hike was to us...but the glacier itself was a little underwhelming. I don't know if this is because of the number of people that make the trek here that has taken its toll on the ecosystem or I was just over hiking through a pure rocky path, but either way we weren't WOW'd. It was a quick hike to waste away an hour or two, but I'm not sure that this is a destination in and of itself. I feel bad saying that (I promise we tried REALLY hard to like it because of all the positive feedback it has but this is one to do, just to say you have done it). I will say, however, that the glacier itself is incredibly photogenic - this is one time where the pictures do the location more justice rather than vice versa. The highlight was watching a few kids cliff dive into the glacier water. If we go again, I'll bring my floaties :)
