Happy Monday! We sure have skipped right over fall and into winter here in the Front Range! But we were lucky enough to find a pocket of golds just south of Denver, past our favorite Outlet Mall in Castle Rock.
Larkspur is one of those places you usually drive right by, given there is really nothing there. But we were searching for a relatively easy hike close to home and found this little gem. It is off the beaten path, for sure - but has gorgeous views of the prairie lands as well as the mountains! This is a great fall hike, and one we can see ourselves coming back to. A word to the wise - there are two ways to ascend: at the first fork, just past the trailhead, (1) we went straight and then opted to do the “difficult” 0.5mi steepness in one go or you can (2) take a left at the fork, and take a more moderate, but an “all uphill” approach. You can’t go wrong either way here!
